Meanwhile, after AeroSur ceased operations in 2012, Boliviana de Aviación became the sole airline in Bolivia. AeroSur had been in business for 32 years.
Currently, Boliviana de Aviación and ecojet – which commenced operations in 2013 – are the two main passenger airlines in the country.
